2: Disrupting Cake

The second Cake event really had the town talking once again, ably compered by our Creative Director Ryan McNamara, we had two superb speakers to captivate the sell-out audience.

It’s fair to say that with two cakes down, it has already surpassed our expectations, tickets had all gone within 5 days of going on sale and the possibilities seem boundless.

For those of you who didn’t read the first Cake post, it’s a bi-monthly design meet-up for creatives, designers, developers & entrepreneurs in Loughborough. The event took place at our home venue Loc8me where the attendees enjoyed free pizza, drink and of course a piece of cake!

Name: Chris Tyrell

Talk: Chris gave an insightful look at SEO, and little nuggets to improve your search engine ranking. Having recently attended a Studio-40 Digital Academy session, I can definitely recommend them for your on-going SEO work.

Recommended read: It’s Not How Good You Are, It’s How Good You Want to Be by Paul Arden
Talk:  Disruption. An incredible talk that really got the room engaged and buzzing. Drawing on experience from working with some of the biggest brands in the world, if you ever get a chance to hear Mark you should take it!
